A popular ceremony called Haldi is scheduled a day before the marriage, where the bride and the groom are smeared with a paste of Haldi and other ingredients like milk, besan etc.

Summer Skin Care Routine: Using Haldi and Chandan 

Summers often brings with it the troubles of sun tanning. But with the goodness of Haldi and Chandan, you can remove tanning and get clear, bright and even skin tone. You can also treat this DIY as an Ubtan and scrub your body for suntan remove.

DIY Recipe:

1 Tbsp Gramflour (Besan)

1 Tbsp Curd (Dahi)

1/4 Tsp Turmeric (Haldi)

1 Tsp Honey (Shahad)

1/2 Tsp Sandalwood (Chandan)

1 Tbsp Rose Water (Gulab Jal)

Few threads of Saffron (Kesar)

Mix all these ingredients together into a paste and apply on your tanned body parts.

Keeping the scorching heat in mind, face care in summer includes putting on face masks with Haldi & Chandan as essential ingredients. Haldi acts as an effective moisturizer for your skin. You can skip the heavy moisturizers with chemicals and minimize the oily feel on your face by switching to Haldi and Honey mix.
